Full review of College PokerThe College Poker Championship, hosted by Royal Vegas Poker is in its third year, and will be starting officially in September 2005. Early bird freerolls are taking place throughout the summer of 2005, with $500 scholarship awards as prizes.
The entire series of tournament games is completely free. No purchase is ever required. The prizes are cash scholarships that will enable students to fund their education. You must be a college student to enter. Alumni are not permitted to enter the tournament.
Another tournament set up especially for college students is the Absolute Poker College Challenge. In this tournament students can win, amoung other things, their tuition. Past prizes included iPod shuffles, laptop computers and of course, a semester of tuition.
This college poker tournament is taking shape for the fall, with the action to begin in mid October. The finals will be held in November, when a maximum of 2,000 players will square off for the title.
Gentlemen if you've read this far, I encourage you to click through to this site and have a gander at the babes who are competing for Miss Absolute Poker. I was at the Costa Rican photo shoot last year, and it was, hmmmmmm, a good time had by all. I'm thinking Aspen as this year's top candidate.

David Z, the third winner of the College Poker Championship™ Win-A-Car Promotion has driven off to a brighter future in his brand new car. His win could not be more fitting as David is not only a keen poker player, but also a highly ambitious and entrepreneurial Campus Rep from the University of Illinois.
If David goes on to win the overall College Poker Championship™ he will not only get a $50,000 scholarship, but all the top ten finishers will have the opportunity to donate $1,000 each to the charity of their choice.
The highly successful Win-A-Car Promotion has been running since the launch of the College Poker Championship™ III in September 2005. Every week college students from around the world take part in regional qualifiers. The higher they finish, the more points they win. Once every eight weeks the student that is at the top of the leader board drives away with a new car.
The Campus Reps Program is a unique initiative where members promote College Poker to their fellow students, allowing them to earn while they learn.
Campus Reps are no longer just representatives, they have evolved into intensely motivated, poker playing students who form an integral part of a very successful campaign to advance student poker and the scholarship rewards that go with it.
There is now only one car left to be won and the action is reaching boiling point. These last eight weeks are bound to be the most intense and exciting ever.
