Fortune Poker, along with Celeb Poker and Imperial Poker, is part of the Boss Media Poker Network. As a newer site, they offer one of the nicest poker room interfaces on the internet. Though the site doesnĄŻt have that many players, about 3,000 during weeknight peak times, the HoldĄŻem games going are a bit softer than average. Along with Texas HoldĄŻem, they offer Omaha and Stud, though these games run infrequently at best.
FortunePoker is a relatively new poker site. It is part of the large Boss Network which means there is a good solid user base already in existence.
In addition to HoldĄŻEm,
Fortune Poker offers Omaha, 7 card stud, and 5 card draw variants of poker. The usual no limit, pot limit and fixed limit game types are on offer, with a good range of sit & go and multi tables scheduled tournaments.
Financial options are processed through WebDollar. Depositing options are fairly limited, and allow Credit Card, Neteller, FirePay, Bank Transfer, PaySafeCard or Bank Draft / Check. Withdrawal options are also limited, allowing Card, Firepay, Neteller, Bank Transfer or Bank Draft. Withdrawals take anywhere between one and four business days to process.
Every month
Fortune Poker gives away $450,000 in guaranteed prizes through three daily poker tournaments: a $30 dollar guaranteed with an $8,000 prize pool, a $10 guaranteed with a $4,000 prize pool, and a $20 guaranteed with a $3,000 prize pool.
Fortune Poker also offers $200 daily poker freerolls that start at 6pm GMT.
Attached to their homepage is a poker school, where one can learn how to play Texas HoldĄŻem or Stud and go through hypothetical hands. Their customer support department is of good quality and offers quick responses to any problem.
FortunePoker is part of the Boss Poker Network, and shares a fairly large user base with the other skins. There are many larger sites out there, but there are also many much smaller sites around too ¨C this is certainly a middle of the pack site.
Action is very evenly spread out across all of the game types (ie, non HoldĄŻem) which is very unusual, and I expect that this is because of the nice way that the other poker game types are displayed on the lobby. They are not tucked away in some dark dirty corner of the site where players never venture. If you like Omaha, 7 card stud, or 5 card draw, there are always plenty of full tables and you might even find that you have to queue for a game of 5 card draw ¨C something almost unheard of at other sites!
Action at the low limit tables is rife. Even at non-peak times you can be sure of finding several full tables with good stats. Once you are seated at a table, itĄŻs very rare for the table to break or continuously have empty seats ¨C most tables constantly have a queue of at least one or two people waiting to take any empty seats that may appear.
Action at the mid and higher level games is however almost non existent. At the time of writing, there were a couple of $1/$2 tables with a few players seated, but not one single person seated at any limit above these.
The same goes for the tournaments ¨C at the very low level limits there is plenty of action to keep you busy, but move up to anything above a $10 or $20 buyin and you will have to wait a long time to get a game.
