Full review of Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is an ambitious poker room that was launched in July 2004. Full Tilt Poker has a number of world-class poker pro endorsers, such as Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, John Juanda and Erik Seidel. Unfortunately thee pros are not seen playing very much at the site. The most action is at the low stakes no-limit Holdem tables and no-limit Holdem fixed schedule tournaments. The graphics are innovative with cartoon style avatars. The software is good and different, however not quite in line with the very best in terms of functionality. Real money player statistics - December 2005: 1000-1500 ring game players at peak hours, 4000-5000 tournament players at peak hours.
Full Tilt Poker's graphics have a different and fun look and feel. Each player chooses an avatar, which can display different emotions to add some spice. The player can choose among different background environments. The software runs quickly and reliably when we have tested the play money tables. Notes on players are supported. The statistics function is OK with decent information details. Overall, Fill Tilt Poker has good software.
Full Tilt Poker's stable of pro players also includes Erik Seidel, John Juanda, Andy Bloch, Phil Gordon, Kristy Gazes, Clonie Gowen, Mike Matusow, and Jennifer Harman. Some of the affiliated players even play small buy-in multi-table tournaments and in low limit ring games, in addition to playing in the highest limit games. One nice FullTiltPoker feature is the "Last Hand" button which allows you to view up to the last fifty hands played. They have a "Fold to Any" button which is a feature that quickens the pace of the game. Hand histories can be uploaded to your desktop upon request.
Full Tilt offers you a variety of cartoon-like avatars to choose from such as a fish, a donkey, a rooster, a cowgirl, a baseball player, and a guy who looks like Clint Eastwood in Pale Rider. You can also control the facial expressions of each avatar and let your opponents know if you are in a good mood or angry.
Full Tilt allows you to take notes on players and they have a "Search for Player" function which you can use to find your friends or your favorite pro. They also have a feature that tells you what tournaments you are registered into, just in case you forget.
Full Tilt runs SnGs where you can win a satellite token. That token is good for a buy-in into different satellites that they run. They also host one table tournaments in every game they spread.
You can also choose the background of your table. If you want no frills, you can choose a black or generic background. If you want you can pick a view of the Las Vegas strip, outer space, the jungle, a beach scene, or a ski lodge. If you are fortunate enough to make a final table in a multi-table tournament, the background will be a "TV set" with lights and an audience, similar to what you would see on a televised TV tournament.
Their website offers poker lessons and "Tips from the Pros." They also reward regular players with Full Tilt Points which can be used for free rolls or to purchase merchandise in the Full Tilt Store.
