Spin Palace Poker is part of the Prima Poker network where players from different poker rooms play against each other. It enables you to play against one or more players, not the dealer ¨C there are never house players in the Spin Palace Poker network. The network brings together players from poker rooms around the world to play each other in one huge, seamless network ¨C promising action for every player at any time.

The poker room is fully licensed by the reputable Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the shuffling is regularly reviewed by independent auditors.

Spin Palace Poker software is powered by Microgaming, the leader in interactive gaming systems since 1994. As the most trusted name in online gaming, Microgaming continues to set the standard in fair play, transparency initiatives and the promotion of responsible gaming. Like all Microgaming products, Spin Palace Poker software incorporates cutting edge technology and rich interface features to bring you the best online poker games.

At Spin Palace Poker, Texas Hold ¡®Em is by far the most popular game, just as it is in the ¡®real world¡¯. However, as you would expect online, a player is still offered the choice of playing at other tables including 5 and 7 Card Stud as well as Omaha and Omaha High / Low. There are a huge range of tables available too, with limits starting as low as $0.05 / $0.10 and ranging to $100 / $200 No Limit tables for the really big gamblers!

Accessing tables at Spin Palace Poker is easy with each table grouped by type (ring game or tournament, type of game etc.) To help a player choose a table that suits their play, a handy summary box is also viewable that shows the number of seats available, the maximum number of seats available, the average pot size and even the players per flop percentage! It is great to see how loose or tight a table is likely to be and means a player can sit down at a place that suits them.

For me, however, I am happy to play at any table and as such sat down at a $2 / $4 fixed limit table. I started off with some pretty poor cards but soon found my feet and pulled in a few nice pots. I found that playing poker at Spin Palace really is easy thanks to the hand status indicator that shows the hand you currently have. Even a seasoned player like me sometimes misses the flush or straight I am holding! When winning hands are revealed another nice touch is the highlighting of the winning hand by shading out the non-playing cards. Again, this is great and I am sure is a feature appreciated by new players and long timers alike.

I have to say that the speed of the game was also to my liking. Of course, you get some slow players occasionally but the actual software itself was very fast indeed. Couple this with the great graphics, which is to be expected of anything developed by Microgaming, and it becomes clear why Spin Palace Poker attracts players. There are even background sound effects to add to the realism. The only thing maybe missing is a dealer voiceover which I have seen elsewhere, but to be honest I think this minor point is definitely out-weighed by the positives.

In terms of ¡®luck¡¯ (or skill as it is supposed to be at poker!), I did reasonably well although a couple of losing hands made me think the $2 / $4 limit was maybe too big for my bankroll. A lucky straight really helped me towards the end of my session on this table though ¨C the $25 winner was much appreciated with me having just $6 on the table at this point!

As well as playing at the fixed limit table, I also tried out the $1 / $2 No-limit Hold ¡®Em table. No limit really is a great game as a player can move in as many chips as they like with good hands. Of course, if it loses though it can mean a big loss has to be absorbed. In terms of player quality, I found the usual mix of poor players as well as very good players. Similarly, from what I could see the higher limit players were also of a better quality than those on the lower tables. I still found a few wild callers though!

As well as playing on the Hold ¡®Em tables I also checked out a 7-Card Stud ring game. I am not much of a player at this game, but for the sake of a review I decided to have a gamble! Although I didn¡¯t do too well, it was still fun to play something different. Of course, the game quality was again excellent.

I think one thing that made me realise Spin Palace Poker is a good poker option is the number of players connected to the network at any one time ¨C over 12,000 players were online at one point. Of course, it could be the progressive bad beat jackpot of over $90,000 that was attracting people! Unfortunately, you have to sit at special tables to be eligible for this but for those jackpot seekers, it doesn¡¯t come better than that!

Before completing my Spin Palace Poker review I decided to check out the tournament section of the software. A number of different tournaments are available ranging from low-level single table tournaments to high level multi-table tournaments. Players can even take part in the numerous free roll tournaments available where people can compete for a prize without having to pay a penny to take part!

Although on this occasion my bankroll hit zero and I wasn¡¯t able to cash in (mostly because of my bad play as opposed to bad luck), I have experienced Spin Palace¡¯s cash-in processing before and it is generally very good. Withdrawals sit in pending for a very short amount of time and pay outs are generally processed in total within about 48 hours.

Similarly, I had no reason to call support on this occasion. However, a number of support options are available including email, telephone and live chat. Support at Spin Palace is very responsive with emails usually receiving a response within an hour or so. Similarly, telephone support delivers instant help if required, although it is a shame toll free numbers are listed for only 3 countries.

All in all I have to say I was very impressed with the Spin Palace Poker proposition, even though I wasn¡¯t a winner. A good number of connected players means there¡¯s always a good game going on, although players looking for something other than Texas Hold ¡®Em may have more difficulty in finding an exact game to suit them. As well as the ring games available, the tournaments are also a great way to play for a fixed amount of money. Couple the excellent game play with the great banking and support functions and it¡¯s clear to see that Spin Palace is a great poker destination.
